“She’ll be missed by our party here in Carver County,” said Laura Helmer, local DFL Party treasurer.
Krueger ran two unsuccessful campaigns, in 2006 and 2008, against Paul Kohls in 34A, a district that covers western Carver County, as well as Victoria and a portion of Chaska.
According to her 2008 campaign biography, Krueger attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She was active on various public committees, including chair of the Carver County Senior Services Advisory Committee.
In her campaign biography, Krueger described her core political philosophy: “I believe in what the Minnesota Constitution says about government, Government is instituted for the security, benefit and protection of the people.’ Government should be there when it’s needed and out of the way when it is not.”
