Bernard A. Kerber
Bernard A. “Bernie” Kerber, 90, of Chanhassen, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at Auburn Home in Waconia.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Community, Chanhassen. Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 16, from 5-8 p.m. at Huber Funeral Home and one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery, Chanhassen.

Lorance P. Felten
Lorance Felten, 67, of Chaska, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at his home.
Memorial service was Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 West Third Street, Chaska. Family received friends one hour prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home, Chaska, 952-448-2137.
Ruth Anne (Lipka) Maddox
Ruth Anne (Lipka) Maddox, 45, of Prior Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 in her residence.
She was born Aug. 20, 1963 in Chicago Heights, Ill., to Paul and Lois (Whitehead) Lipka, who survive in Lake Placid, Fla. She was previously married to Mark Long, who survives.
She graduated from Morton Senior High School, Hammond, in 1981, and Louisiana Tech in 1986. She worked for the Savage Pacer and Shakopee Valley News for four and a half years and formerly worked at the Times-Union from April 1, 1987, to July 8, 2003.
She loved to travel, play Scrabble, read, walk her dog and spend time with her family. The family agrees with her famous quote, “I’m delightful and everybody loves me.” She loved listening to music, going out to dinner and was a great, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kelsey Long, Warsaw; a brother, John Lipka, Bastrop, La.; two sisters, Karen (and spouse Bill) Whitaker, Middlebury, and Amy Cobb, Highland; two nephews, Stephen Cobb, Great Lakes Naval Base, and Robert Whitaker, Middlebury; two nieces, Elisha Cobb, Highland, and Kayla Whitaker, Middlebury; two dogs, Roxxi and Quincy; and her cat, Skeeter.
Services were 6 p.m. EST Monday, Nov. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Ind. There was cremation. Calling was held 4-6 p.m. EST Monday at the funeral home.

Helen Hulda Eitel
Helen Eitel, 83, of Renville, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Olivia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at First Lutheran Church in Renville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 5-8 p.m. in the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville. Visitation continues on Friday one hour prior to the services at the church. The Rev. Stan Kwiecien will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Chaska on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Helen Hulda Eitel was born Dec. 23, 1924 at home in Jordan to George “Pat” and Bertha (Dubbe) Greenwald. She was raised in Jordan and graduated from Jordan High School. During World War II, Helen worked for the Department of Defense, manufacturing ammunition for the war effort. Following the war she worked for the Jones Harrison Nursing Home in Minneapolis for three years. She then worked for National T as a key puncher for three years. She was united in marriage to Hilbert E. Eitel on April 17, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jordan. Following their marriage, they lived in Chaska prior to moving to Renville in 1979. Helen worked at the RenVilla Nursing Home for 10 years, and later volunteered at the nursing home for many years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aid and the Tuesday morning Bible Study Group. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, traveling, sharing her cooking and baking especially on the holidays, and playing cards and games with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons and daughters, Gary (Kim) Eitel of Plymouth, Jim (Claudia Murphy) Eitel of Telford, Tenn., Sandy Eitel of Visalia, Calif., Cindy (Bob) Pagelkopf of Chaska; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Marvin (special friend Iva) Greenwald of Brooklyn Park, Dale (Louisa) Greenwald of Brooklyn Park, Glen (Iona) Greenwald of Hayeville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Gladys Kaufhold of Waconia; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hilb; grandsons, Adam and David; sisters Faune Haag and Verna Karnitz.
