A 10-year-old Oak Point Intermediate student collapsed Friday afternoon
while at run club at Oak Point. Joshua Damptey was then transported to
a hospital where he died.

According to an e-mail from the Eden Prairie School
District, Joshua was a fifth grade student and had previously attended
Eden Lake Elementary School. His brother attends Eagle Heights Spanish
Immersion School. Social workers and counselors will be available for
students on Monday.

According to media reports, Joshua lived in Chaska with his mother Sylvia, and brother, Victor.
