Minnesota court records now searchable on-line
November 16, 2007 - 7:52pm — sfiecke
The state has launched a Web site that allows you to search someone's criminal history. You can also look for the results of civil cases. Unlike a similar search engine available at the courthouse, the database does not show pre-offender addresses. Pre-convinction records are only available with the case number. While the database shows a summary of court actions, a person would still have to retrieve the actual court files from court administration. All counties, except for Dakota and the criminal division of Ramsey, have joined the database. The entire state is expected to eventually be on the system.
