A third candidate has filed for mayoral office.
According to Chaska Election Coordinator Margo Steffel, Robert Snyder filed his affidavit Wednesday morning, the last day for filing before the Jan. 19 special election.
The 53-year-old Chestnut Street resident is a driver for Positive Connection. He has no history in public office, but has served served on the JSAW Xtreme board and was a planning member for both the Chaska Sesquicentennial celebration and River City Days.
Snyder has volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America and is the Vice Commander of the Sons of the American Legion 3rd District. He is also involved with the Gopher State Railway Museum and the local Jaycees.

Mr. Snyder, or someone who...
Back to page topMr. Snyder, or someone who knows him well, I will ask the same type of questions that I asked about Mr. Windschitl and Mr. Rohe. When LovinChaska responded about Mr. Windschitl and Mr. Rohe responded about himself, they sorted their information into three categories.
1) Chaska is in his blood and is his home.
2) Community / Volunteer Involvement.
3) Leadership.
For comparison, can you provide similar examples / groups of information about yourself / Mr. Snyder?
