Hiking is for the birds

A bird-watching hike will be held at Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge this Saturday, May 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. The event will be held in conjunction with the North American Migration Count and Fort Snelling State Park, the hike will highlight the large diversity of birds to be found in the area during the spring migration period. The hike, open to all ages, will begin from the new Rapids Lake Education and Visitor Center, located south of Carver, just east of County Road 45.
