Would you wake up at dawn to see The Dark Knight?

Seems midnight showings are no longer good enough to satisfy fans of the latest installment of Batman. Theaters are adding 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. showings of "The Dark Knight" to their schedules to meet demand.

Lake Minnewashta off-leash dog area mutt strut May 31

The Carver County Parks Department announces the official dedication and inaugural Minnewashta Mutt Strut Special event at the Lake Minnewashta Regional Park off leash dog area (OLDA) on Saturday, May 31. The dedication ceremony and “bone breaking” will take place from 10-10:15 a.m. and will include the presentation of plaques to the city of Chanhassen, city of Shorewood and Shorewood Parks Foundation for their partnership and financial contributions.  After the dedication ceremony and bone breaking, the inaugural Minnewashta Mutt Strut event will take place in the off leash dog area. A variety of pet friendly vendors will have booths set up throughout the off leash area for pets and their owners to visit for information.  For more information about the off leash dog area at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park or the Mutt Strut Event, call the Park office at (952) 466-5250 or visit the parks Web site at www.co.carver.mn.us/parks.

Is the fee waived for this event so people can see what the park is like and whether it's suited to their needs?
