Should marriage be gender-neutral in Minnesota?

Minnesotan Doug Benson recently proposed the Marriage and Family Protection Act to make marriage a gender-neutral proposition in Minnesota. It was introduced to the Minnesota legislature with 14 House sponsors and 5 Senate supporters. You can read more about it here.

Swedish sleigh ride

Swedish Consul General Bruce Karstadt (in red parka) takes a sleigh ride across the historic Andrew Peterson farm, near Waconia, on Jan. 31. Carver County Commissioner Randy Maluchnik and the Carver County Historical Society helped arrange the visit, which highlights growing attention to the farm and the county's Swedish immigrant past.
