Ole and Lena and the Norwegian Constitution
April 18, 2008 - 12:15pm — Mark Olson
So Ole walks into the bar with a Chaska Herald … . OK. I’m not quite sure how to end that bit. Anyway, the Nordic Heritage Club is holding its next meeting at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 9 at the Acorn House in Victoria. The event commemorates May 17 – Norwegian Constitution Day, and includes refreshments and a viewing of a Norwegian film. But perhaps best of all, the event also includes a joke contest. Participants are invited to arrive with their best Ole, Lena and Sven jokes. Prizes will be given for the best jokes, according to Ron Holtmeier, with the Heritage Club. (What those prizes are, I’m not quite sure.) For more info, visit the club's Web site.
