Guardian Angels Catholic Church held a special “blessing of the animals” on Sunday, Oct. 4, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi’s feast day. Pictured is Biscuit, being blessed by the Rev. Paul Jarvis. Biscuit, belonging to the Hed family (including Josh, who took this photograph), was being held by Tami Hed. The blessing, which took place in the friary garden’s, included animals ranging from gerbils to birds. Jarvis and Deacon Gregg Sroder ran the ceremony, and the G.A. school’s children's choir, lead by Theresa O'Donnell, accompanied the liturgy. (Photo by Josh Hed)
