Charitable gambling groups will meet in Chaska on Monday for an informational meeting on the state of charitable gaming.

Part of the meeting will address a study on the effects the smoking ban has had on gaming. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Chaska American Legion Post 57 (102 W. Fourth St.).

This fun and easy class will teach you how to knit using a loom rather than traditional knitting needles. You will learn how to start and finish projects, incorporate different yarns, beats, etc. and be well on your way to finishing a project of your own. The class fee includes one scarf or hat loom, knitting hook, and your choice of yarns.

True Ghost Stories at the Strait House

I am proud to tell you about an event that will be happening at the Strait house in Jordan on Oct 25 between 11am and 4pm. This should be a fun event as there will be door prizes, refreshments, and a demonstration of the equipment that Minnesota’s Beyond the Veil uses including the thermo camera. Included will be examples of evps (Electronic voice phenomena) and photos of what are believed to be spirits.
