225 Water Street Creative Arts is holding our second Recycled Art Contest in Jordan, Minnesota. Our last contest was won by 14 year old, Storm Moll of Belle Plaine, Minnesota with her winning entry "Don't throw Peace Away." We're in search of our next best “Trashformation” artist! The Recycled Art Contest is open to recycled artists ages 10 and older. Entries will be displayed at 225 Water Street starting September 1st and the winning entries will be announced September 6th and cash prizes will be awarded for the top three finalists. (all day)

St. Bernard Catholic Church in Cologne is hosting a dedication mass and celebration of its new annex on Sunday, Sept. 21. A special mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Harry Flynn at 10:30 a.m., followed by the dedication ceremony. A free-will ham dinner will be served in the St. Bernard School cafeteria at noon. A benefit dinner will be held on Friday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 9 p.m. - to help cover medical costs for Austin Harms, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. The steak fry dinner will be held at Da Boar's Bar & Grill, Cologne. Additionally, BRACELETS FOR AUSTIN HARMS are available for $5 each at Da Boar's and will be for sale during Cologne's Glad Days (July 24-26). All proceeds will help pay for Austin’s medical bills.
