The smell of dirt! Bracing winter air is nice but I like to smell something living when I walk outside.

About those tulips -- I planted 200 tulip, daffodil and crocus bulbs last fall -- where are they?

Despite this rash of cold weather, there's was another sure sign of spring today.

Two snowbirds came into our downtown office and changed their Chaska Herald subscription mailing address from Arizona to Minnesota.

If the ice is out, it won't

If the ice is out, it won't be long for water ski's and personal water crafts to take over.
I assume the DNR classifies the lake as being large enough, but barely.
I've also been fishing on O'Dowds in Shakopee, and the the same thing happens over there.
The waves get so choppy, you feel like you're going to fall out of the boat.
There's nothing better then enjoying a nice day in the sun, only to be interrupted by the whine of a jet ski!
Both water sports should be for the larger lakes, not small fishing/light recreation type lakes
