Thanks for your comments Katie. I've really been enjoying my new camera (Panasonic DMC-FZ30) which I just got this last November but feel I still have a lot to learn. I would love to see the pics you get on your "outing" this weekend!

Man, I love pictures from our area. Very, very nice job, Josh.

We are going to take the four sweethearts we call children out this weekend and snap some photos of the geese and all their adorable babies. Assuming, of course, that the geese don't eat our baby first.

"A geese-ey at my bay-bee!"

Those things are tough!

If we (I should say Tom, since he's the nature photographer in the family) get any good images, I'll post them here.

I found this little guy in one of the small ponds in the Clover Ridge neighborhood on the west side of Chaska. Quite a few of my duck pics were shot there.

While the Chaska Community Center's pool is in repair, lap swimmers are invited to the Safari Community Center in Waconia. Just show up with your CCC pass and jump in to one of the nicest pools in the area. Folks are friendly and the facility lovely. Nice to find communities helping one another and nice to find a new place to swim.
