Definitely NOT more rental

Definitely NOT more rental or residential, that would look horrible. Either a larger park or something aesthetically pleasing. Not a big complex of any sort.

EVERYONE in Washington DC

EVERYONE in Washington DC knew that Richard Armitage was the leak from the beginning of this bogus scandal! It's that type of phony inside baseball that makes regular people loath to get involved in politics.

This example, plus a nine year old example: a President who's own Justice Dept prosecuting 4 regular Americans for lying in federal court about a sexual affair, all the while he's using "it's only sex" as his defense, has created a country of cynics.

Why won't those with barrels of ink print the story behind the story? A political agenda perhaps?

From Entertainment Weekly's list of "Christmas bummers:"

"Prince, ''Another Lonely Christmas''
Not only is his girlfriend gone, not only is she dead, but she died...on December 25! (Of pneumonia, or strep — he's not sure.) Of course, this being a Prince song, there's a verse devoted to fondly remembering her naked. "

Most annoying on your list? "Last Christmas" by Wham, by far.

My radio station of choice,

My radio station of choice, through out the year, but especially at Christmas, is 98.5 KTIS. Trust me, the best place to hear Christmas music that doesn't get annoying, is where they play music about the true meaning of Christmas. It frustrates me that my 3 year old niece doesn't have a clue to the real meaning of Christmas, and too many of these songs don't help much. Don't get me wrong, I heard the Chipmunk song on there the other day, but rather then being annoyed I had to laugh. I don't think I had heard it since I was a kid.

"Alvin and the Chipmunks" is actually a very tolerable movie. Totally formulaic and predictable, but those dang CGI chipmunks are adorable. I wanted to take that pudgy little Theodore home with me.

I can top all of these songs (even the Alvin and the Chipmunks) for Worst Christmas Song.

Does anyone remember a little tune called "Funky Funky Christmas" by New Kids on the Block?

Sadly, Alvin and the Chipmunks could soon be on the "worst holiday movie" list as well as the "most annoying holiday song" list -- if the trailer is any indication.

And how does Jason Lee go from an enjoyable comedy series like "My Name is Earl," to movies like "Underdog" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks"?

Oh, and for the record, I like "The Chipmunks Song" (in moderation).

One year, I got my cat a "boogie mat" which was essentially a large pouch filled with cat nip. I'll be damned if that cat didn't follow me around from the moment I walked in the door with the bag. It drove him crazy. I threw the bag in the closet until I was ready to wrap it and he weasled his way in there almost immediately. So I wrapped it (I know it's just a cat) and from there on out he spent most of his time guarding it. When Christmas finally arrived and I gave it to him officially, he was hilarious - rolling around on it and dragging it wherever he went. It was well worth the money that year.

My dogs get rawhide and

My dogs get rawhide and squeaky toys and other goodies. Last year they got holiday hats and they really, really loved them -- as evidenced by the photo.

Shyanne & QuincyUnfortunately, our German shepherd, Shyanne, is no longer with us but Quincy has a new sister, Roxxi. She probably won't get a hat this year because she's only a puppy and she's more likely to eat it than wear it.

Roxxi did already get a new coat this year because she gets too cold when she's outside. And she wanted nothing to do with any of those dorky dog sweaters -- she's stylin' in a faux suede pink get-up with a shearling lining.

We also buy catnip toys and tasty treats for the cat, who otherwise gets nothing special throughout the year.

I actually own the Elmo &

I actually own the Elmo & Patsy ALBUM with "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" on it. But, since I don't own a turntable, I can't listen to it over and over like I used to -- but I still know almost all the words and can sing it if someone asks nicely.

That same circle of vinyl also has another of my favorite worst songs: "Percy the Puny Poinsettia," which tells listeners that "If he had just been kept wetta, he'd be a house plant today."

It's actually very annoying, but I find myself singing it -- even now -- because it's very catchy!
