Carter Routh, a 4-Her from Freeborn County is a fellow fan of the John Deere 110. He rebuilt most of this lawn tractor, which is on display in the 4-H building at the Minnesota State Fair grounds.

All of that may be true...but...the bottom line is this: plain and simple, it just looks cool - they don't make them like this anymore!

So do you sing "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" as your '64 Deere powers through the grass?

Cool old tractor!
They were powered by the Kohler 8 H.P. engine, much smaller and quieter than the 18 to 24 horsepower engines that power today's mowers. And much more economical on gas, I'm sure.

The old Kohlers can run forever, and the simple but solid John Deere engineering can stand the test of time, too.

Chaska Herald advertising representative Jeff Engstrom is a man of many, many hidden talents. Among them is his acute mechanical skills.
