I think a lot of people

I think a lot of people would like to see McCain pick a more 'conservative,' (whatever that now means..) running-mate. Fred Thompson would be a better choice over Romney if it was purely about finding a solid conservative.

Personally I'm pulling for Governor Pawlenty as my dark horse for VP.

Obama/Kennedy vs McCain/Pawlenty :D

Mitt Romney gave his endorsement of John McCain today. Is he being a good little GOP or hoping to slide into the No. 2 spot???

It looks like we have ourselves a couple of presumptive major-party nominees.

All the GOP candidates gave up except Huckabee, but the clock will run out on him before he pockets enough delegates.

So "jumpin'" John McCain gets the nod. He's a bit long in the tooth and his reputation includes a little bit of a temper, but there's something in his track record for almost everyone to like.
