I agree that the State Fair

I agree that the State Fair is by far the best people-watching venue.

Other good places include the Mall of America and the airport.

I also always enjoy Lake Como in St. Paul to people-watch, because it is a good mix of society (not just the young hipsters, like around Lake Calhoun).

Locally, grab a park bench and watch the crowds at the Chaska Area Taste or River City Days -- those are pretty good people-watching events.

In any of these scenarios, beware -- other people are also watching you.

The best place is still the Mn. State Fair
Have a beer by the midway around 5-6 p.m. and you'll see a lot of strangeness arriving.
It gets even better as night time approaches.
Too bad its only once a year

Lord Fletcher's on Lake

Lord Fletcher's on Lake Minnetonka can be an interesting experience. Also, there is a duck parade on the deck during the summer. Who can resist big boats, a lake view and a duck parade?
