Can this really be happening? Can it be true? Is Sanjaya's reign really over????
YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I am on Cloud 9 after the results of tonight's show. There was a scary moment as I was clutching my pillow and bracing to see Lakisha leave FAR too soon. And then the heavens opened up and Sanjaya was sent packing. At last! Perhaps now we can get back to the business of singing.
Props to Melinda for not caving to Ryan's request to pick which group was safe. It was cleary too difficult to call. Sitting in the middle of the floor was not only smart, but it was endearing.
It was a surprise to see Blake in the bottom three. Maybe Chris's shout out to Virginia Tech did win him some much-needed votes. For both Blake and Lakisha, this was a good wake up call. From here on out, your song choices and delivery much be spot on. Any slips now and you earn your own ticket home...
Boy, was that guy bad. I had...
Back to page topBoy, was that guy bad. I had heard people grousing about him, but hadn’t experienced his mediocrity first-hand until I watched him on Tuesday night destroying Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to talk about.”
I thought it was all a bad dream, until I watched Wednesday’s encore performance and witnessed him take the same song and drive it even further into the ground.
Pat Boone did a better job with Metallica's "Enter Sandman" than Sanjaya did with Bonnie Raitt.
If Sanjaya had appeared on...
Back to page topIf Sanjaya had appeared on the Gong Show in the 70's, he wouldn't have made it to the second verse. It would have been, to paraphrase T. Rex, "Bang a Gong, get him gone!" It took "Idol" several weeks to do what Jaye P. Morgan would have done in less that a minute.
Sanjaya's cool. heh-hehheh....

But what Katie really says is: "I was about to take a stick and poke out both my eardrums because Sanjaya's singing made me so FREAKIN' NUTS!"
"Life anthems" is this...
Back to page top"Life anthems" is this week's Idol theme (to go along with the Idol Gives Back deelybob).
I'm not sure I'm that excited to hear songs about compassion and hope. Seems like a surefire recipe for "We are the World," "That's What Friends are For," and "Give Peace A Chance" numbers.
