For the first time in almost 2 weeks, Chaska received a measurable rainfall on Thursday, July 26th. As the afternoon progressed, the sky (and our local weather maps) looked promising for heavy rainfall. However, Chaska ended up receiving only 0.08" of precipitation - but it was a very welcome 0.08" at that! Many nearby communities received much higher totals than us - I happened to be in Jordan that afternoon, and I watched with glee as heavy rain fell for over 40 minutes. I was somewhat disappointed when I arrived home to find that our rainfall total in Chaska was much lower!
So far during the month of July, we have officially picked up less than 1 inch of rain in Chaska (0.96" to be exact, with 0.84" of that coming on July 8th). Farm fields and lawns in our area continue to feel the pain as the summer drought of 2007 lingers on.

Greg: Do you know what...

Do you know what the official temp was on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for River City Days?
How does this compare with last year?
Thanks.
