I don't really fly a lot, so I'm not all that sure if the merger between Delta and Northwest is going to affect us in Minnesota all that much. Listening to the Governor, it sounds like everything will be fine, except for the the corporate employees of course. Am I in the clouds over this, or is this really going to be bad?

Back to page topThey say that this will be bad because Minneapolis-St. Paul loses its "headquarter" status and becomes a "hub" so there won't be as many perks for the folks living and working here.
They also say that this merger will lead to other airline mergers and close the competition window enough to keep flight costs up.
I'm not sure who "they" are -- just been listening to the news.
All I know is that my husband flew out on NWA on Sunday and is coming back today, I think -- yea, yea, I know it's not happening that fast.
