They say that this will be bad because Minneapolis-St. Paul loses its "headquarter" status and becomes a "hub" so there won't be as many perks for the folks living and working here.

They also say that this merger will lead to other airline mergers and close the competition window enough to keep flight costs up.

I'm not sure who "they" are -- just been listening to the news.
