Chaskan starts Trader Joe's petition

» Read similar stories filed under:

Trader Joe's has found a fan in Julie Parvis, who has started an online movement to prompt the specialty grocery store to move to town. (Click here for more info.)

"There are many fans of Trader Joe's living in this area, but none of us like the commute to St. Louis Park, Maple Grove or Woodbury to shop there, especially with the cost of gas these days! So, I say let's start an organized campaign to persuade Trader Joe's to build their next Minnesota store here!" states Parvis in her online petition.

What do you think of Trader Joes? Do you have any dream business you'd like in Chaska?

I'd settle for an Aldi's.

Also Fleet Farm, Old Country Buffet and the Boy Scout Shop are all stores that force us to drive to Burnsville/Lakeville. I hope Fleet Farm actually builds on their land in Carver.

I love me some Trader Joe's and if I have to choose which store I'd frequent, it would have to be one of the San Diego outlets -- who wouldn't want to enjoy a little sunshine and Trader Joe's?

I get up to St. Louis Park pretty regularly so I can stop by that store but having something south of the river would be nice, too.

Trader Joe's and Aldi are...

Trader Joe's and Aldi are both owned by the same, private, German company. Both bring great value to their customers, with affordable grocery prices ... Especially in this age when groceries can be a "luxury" to some families, sadly. Both would be welcome in any community.

I moved here because I wanted to live in a "small town". Why do we want a trader vics? Their stores are full of junk anyway. You want 3 buck chuck wine? Go to MGM wine and spirits, they have foxbrook, its the same stuff. Otherwise we can already find everything we need in town already. Save downtown Chaska!
