For the last few months, a group of students at CHS have been working on a national high school fundraising effort for Darfur, Sudan as part of a World Studies service learning project. Half of the money raised will fund humanitarian efforts for Darfuri refugees and the other half will fund the advocacy efforts of the Save Darfur Coalition.
Thanks to the CHS International Club, we sold t-shirts at CHS and PRFC to raise money. Our initial goal was $2500, but we quickly surpassed that thanks to the overwhelming response from the CHS community! Since then, we have a new goal of $3500, which would not only help an amazing cause, but make us one of the TOP TEN HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE NATION to raise money for this campaign and possibly win a trip to represent Chaska High School in Washington DC for a lobby day and recognition ceremony by the Save Darfur Coalition.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! The deadline for all donations is April 30! By clicking on the link below, you can use your credit card to donate directly to the Save Darfur Coalition in Chaska’s name. You will receive a confirmaiton email from SaveDarfur.org with a tax id number for your records. Our goal for the website is to add another $1000 to our already amazing total!
Please help us reach our goal and consider WHAT YOU CAN DO FUR DARFUR! Remember, all money needs to be received by April 30, 2007!
