The return of The Pothole

They lie dormant during winter months, waiting for the precise moment to attack.

Then finally, they reawaken, snatching at unsuspecting prey, biting off tires – or whatever they can fit in their gaping jaws.

Yes. The potholes have returned – notably “The Pothole” or “The Pothole of all Potholes.”

The Cyclops and the Sirens are nothing. If Odysseus had run into this pothole, he never would have made it back to Ithaca.

The Pothole is at the intersection of highways 212 and 41 in downtown Chaska. It has probably done more to boost alignment business at area auto shops than any other Chaska pothole.

It’s only a series of baby potholes right now. But soon, as it has every spring for years, it will grow into a giant pothole that’s impossible to avoid.
