pizza restaurant needed

Filed under:

No votes yet

With the demise of RiverCity Restaurant on the corner of 41 and 2nd street, maybe its time to re-evaluate what we need in downtown Chaska.
The solution?
A Pizza Hut style restaurant, where teams can come in after a game, or where families can bring the kids, to have a large pizza, pitcher of pop, maybe a salad, and how about some breadsticks.
There was a time when every town had a sit down pizza place, where a cold beer and a large sausage pizza could be had.
Maybe its time to get back to basics when it come to dining out.
How about something different this time.
My vote is for pizza.

I agree.

We're certainly not lacking in pizza delivery places (Chaska must have five or six). However, with all the restaurants that have come and gone, I was always surprised that no one has tried a sit-down pizza joint.

Do people just not eat pizza in restaurants anymore? Do they just prefer eat-in/delivery?

We used to go out for pizza at Pizza Hut every Friday night when I was little and I loved it. Nothing beats the smell that hits you when you step into a pizza parlor. Back then, pizza night was easily the highlight of my week. (Of course, they also had a Ms. Pac Man machine which never hurts).

We need pizza, but not on its own. We need a good, family-oriented Italian restaurant!

Dominos is pizza in the same sense that a Totino's is.

After reading the original post, it seems like the author is longing for a Godfather's Pizza restaurant.

Excellent idea!
When I wrote the first post, I was thinking back to the private ownerships, like J's in Chaska was when it first opened, Jerry's Pizza in Shakopee etc.
Godfathers would work for me.
Are they even still around?

If we get something like Godfather's (ick!), I would prefer a place like Pizza Ranch. Quality food, great prices.

I still would prefer a mid-priced Italian place, though.
