Highway 41. I remember the days when you barely had to look both ways before crossing that road. Of course that's back when Ben Franklin was on 2nd Street East next to Butch's Tavern and the old movie theater still stood across from Ken's Outlet. Heh. Wow I'm getting old (31).

Hwy 41 can't handle the traffic it's getting from the new Hwy 312. It takes me 30 minutes on my drive home to get from Engler to Hundertmark (that's around 1 mile, right?). It really brings out the aggressive drivers. People in the north bound lane passing long lines of cars by using the right lane and then bullying their way into the left turn lane to get onto Hundertmark. Why are so many people turning left onto Hundertmark anyway? I can't wait until they finish this project or at least open Bavaria so I can bypass 41. I'm sure when all is said and done the new highway will bring added convenience, but right now it's just a royal pain for me.
