It looks like we have ourselves a couple of presumptive major-party nominees.

All the GOP candidates gave up except Huckabee, but the clock will run out on him before he pockets enough delegates.

So "jumpin'" John McCain gets the nod. He's a bit long in the tooth and his reputation includes a little bit of a temper, but there's something in his track record for almost everyone to like.

You put Gov. Tim Pawlenty in the Veep slot with his "Hold the Line on Taxes" mantra and pulled-myself-up-by-the-bootstraps story and you have yourself a pretty decent ticket.

Barack Obama's tough fight against Hillary (or Billary) made him superstrong and he seems to keep it real cool under pressure. It seems a matter of time before he offers Hillary the No. 2 spot.

We need more substance to Obama's Hope for the Future plan, but perhaps that will come. If he wins, and has a Democratic majority in the House and Senate, he could enact some serious policy, not to mention pick a few new Supreme Court justices.

As Bill O'Reilly's parody character on Saturday Night Live says:"Tell me where I'm wrong."

I think a lot of people would like to see McCain pick a more 'conservative,' (whatever that now means..) running-mate. Fred Thompson would be a better choice over Romney if it was purely about finding a solid conservative.

Personally I'm pulling for Governor Pawlenty as my dark horse for VP.

Obama/Kennedy vs McCain/Pawlenty :D
