Celebrate Women's History Month with MN Valley NOW

03/27/2008 - 7:00pm 03/27/2008 - 9:00pm Etc/GMT-5 Join the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) for a celebration of Women’s History Month on Thursday, March 27, at the Prior Lake Public Library, located at 16210 Eagle Creek Avenue South. This event is free and open to the public. At 7:00 p.m., MN Valley NOW members will present Mary Ann Bigaouette, Executive Director for Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women, with proceeds from the V-Day Prior Lake 2008 benefit held in February. At 7:30 p.m., Janet Williams, the first woman mayor of Savage, will speak about her career and her experiences in city and county government. MN Valley NOW is dedicated to making legal, political, social and economic change in our society in order to achieve our goal, which is to eliminate sexism and end all oppression.
