Big Fat Bridal Blog: A family affair

Three months of single-life left and Chad and I are on cruise control ... at least, for now. Anything that requires a contract has been signed and deposit checks have been flying out the door.

It's true, we've hit a lull in the wedding planning process and for that, we are quite thankful. It's given us a chance to enjoy the nice weather a bit.

Last weekend, we made the trek to the Brainerd-lakes area to spend the weekend with my grandparents and talk about the ceremony. My grandfather, an ordained minister, will be marrying us this summer.

Eating with Kids

So, we've been eating out a lot lately. Since I've started my new business, it seems that I have had absolutely no time to feed my family. Instead, I've been paying strangers to do it.

There are a lot of family restaurants in the area, but I have a couple of favorites. The first is McDonald's. I really only like it because I can drive through and bring the food home. Then I can pretend that I cooked (even if I don't have a deep fryer - the kids don't have to know that), and I don't have to worry about tipping.
